ABOUT US

The Del Mar Women’s Giving Collective (DMWGC), a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization, is open to membership for women ages 18 and up who reside in the 92014 ZIP code and is volunteer led. 

Members contribute $1,100 annually, of which $1,000 is pooled for charitable giving and the remainder used for administrative costs, meaning greater than 90 percent of the money raised goes towards our grants. 

DMWGC provides a member-driven process for nominating, evaluating and vetting non-profits organizations for annual grants. We are open-minded in our approach and utilize a democratic process in making collective grant decisions.  

DMWGC was founded in the winter of 2018 by Lani Curtis.  The goal in founding the Del Mar Women's Giving Collective, which still holds true today, is to encourage next-generation donors to think strategically about their philanthropy, and to inspire meaningful generosity and participation within our community. We participate as a community of neighbors and friends, learning together about the needs within our broader San Diego County community and collectively working to meet those needs.

Since DMWGC’s founding, the organization has provided in excess of $350,000 in grants to charities in San Diego County.

Member & Donation Instructions

  • The Del Mar Women’s Giving Collective (DMWGC) is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization (Tax ID# 84-3562395) and your donation is fully tax deductible.

  • Membership is open to women of all ages (18 or older) who live in the 92014 zip code beginning in August of the current year.

  • Minimum commitment of 2 years to join.

  • To become a member for the upcoming 2024/2025 giving cycle, you will need to complete the online interest form . You will receive an email on how to register for your temporary membership account under the “Member Area” on this website.

  • Member donations are due no later than November 1, 2024.

  • You may pay by check. Checks should be made out to “DMWGC” and mailed to: Del Mar Women’s Giving Collective – P.O. Box 214 – Del Mar, CA 92014 in the amount of $1,100.

  • You may pay online by credit card once a temporary membership account has been created for you. The online/credit card donation is $1,135 (to cover added costs).

  • Donations must be received by November 1 to be considered a member for the 2024/2025 giving cycle.
